Dear Antonio,
You are 6 months old! I can't believe how big you are getting. Here are some things about you right now...
-You hate baby food. When I try to feed you baby food, you gag and throw up.
-You sit up perfectly and rarely fall over.
-You almost always sleep on your stomach. Just like Mama!
-You lay down and go to sleep with very little crying at bedtime. Tonight you didn't cry at all!
-You are still learning to sleep through the night. You always wake up at least once. Sometimes you wake up 4 or 5 times. I don't like those nights!
-You start getting ready for bed at 7:45. We feed you cereal and baby food (at least we try to!). Then you take a bath and change into your pajamas. I nurse you and sing to you in your nursery. You are in bed by 8:30 at the latest.
-You get up around 8:00 in the morning.
-When you are eating you make funny noises like you're frantically trying to get all the milk you can.
-You have recently started screaming for entertainment. You think you are really funny.
-You love your exersaucer and will play in it for much longer periods of time now.
-You suck on your lips and make funny faces.
-You have a way of smiling where your mouth stretches so wide and your Grandma just loves it!
-I think you have finally learned how to really hug me. Everyday after I get home, Daddy hands you to me and I hug you and say, give Mama a hug and you squeeze me tight. I love it!
-You are thinking about crawling. When you and Daddy have tummy time, you seem so determined to move, but you can't figure it out. Daddy tries to show you by crawling in front of you. He has me prop you up on your hands and knees. We hope you learn soon!
-You have yucky cradle cap and I have to put baby oil in your hair and brush it out with a toothbrush so you don't look flaky. Poor guy!
-You are so handsome. Everywhere we go people tell us what a beautiful baby you are. A lady at Barnes & Noble went crazy over you and kept exclaiming how perfectly handsome you are. I have to agree!
-You sit in the shopping cart in your floppy seat. You love looking all around!
-Tonight you pulled yourself up to standing while on our bed. I was laying down and you were sitting. You grabbed my stomach and leaned forward and pushed yourself up. You fell after about 20 seconds, but it was very exciting! You also tried to start pulling yourself up to stand on your changing table, but I stopped you. That's dangerous son!
-You love to laugh and Daddy and I try hard to get you laughing. You get hiccups everytime you laugh. You always have.
-You are the most amazing little person. I never knew how much I would love you! You are my heart!
Love,
Mommy
